Aldo Becci, Parsons ’49 is donating 20 percent of sales of his note cards available at www.aldobecci.com to the Parsons annual fund as part of the Parsons Washington, DC alumni network's current scholarship fundraising efforts. In addition, all Parsons alumni also receive a 10 percent discount on his creations. Just enter “Parsons” in the Redeem Discount Code box on the check out page and click the update tab.

SunHee Grinnell '89 is Vanity Fair’s beauty director, responsible for expanded beauty coverage in the magazine, and on the Web. She began her career at Vanity Fair in 1990 as an assistant to the art and design director, and then moved to the photo department as an assistant. She was named assistant photo editor in 1993, before briefly leaving the magazine to work freelance. She returned to Vanity Fair as a contributing photo editor, and was named photo and beauty editor in 2001, a position she held for four years. From 2005 until 2008, she served as senior photo and beauty editor. She resides in Brooklyn with her husband, artist/entrepreneur Toland Grinnell, and their son, Roman. Anne Norda '88 is the writer and director of Red Is the Color Of (2007) NR, which is available on DVD. When famous painter Mary Shaw (Irina Björklund) becomes intrigued by her artist husband David Stellar's (Peter Franzen) free-spirited nude model, Julie Belle (Eliza Pryor Nagel), the friendship leads Mary to explore her sexuality and spirituality in new ways. Meanwhile, the fragile marriage between Mary and David begins to unravel as both their lives intertwine with Julie's in this absorbing drama.

April Riegler is a student in the History of Decorative Arts and Design MA program. Riegler founded Hope Shines, a mentoring program that works with orphans in Rwanda. The program launched in 2008 and this summer marks the second trip to Rwanda to work with the children of Rebero Orphans Center. Hope Shines recruits both male and female volunteers who travel to Rwanda and work with the children on supplementing their education, gender equality, HIV/AIDS awareness, self-esteem building and hygiene/nutrition. To raise money for the upcoming trip Hope Shines is hosting an extended happy hour at the Village Pourhouse on 11th Street on May 20, 2009 from 6:30-9:30. Proceeds will go to Hope Shines.
